October 18 BUSINESS PLANNING—THE SIMPLER WAY Chatham

Creating a business plan can seem like a daunting exercise. This is
especially true for those running a small business, which can be an
all-consuming undertaking. But it helps to have a plan. This workshop will
explore a simplified means of business and strategic planning through the use
of the Business Model Canvas. Participants will leave with a practical
knowledge of the essential business elements/essential activities to increase
revenues and manage costs for their particular business.
November 8 HOW CAN I FUND MY SMALL BUSINESS? Chatham Community Center 8:30 – 10 am
It’s always challenging for business people to locate funding for
starting or growing a business, or for working capital needs. In this workshop,
we will cover the various funding sources that may be available for small
businesses on the Cape. Participants will leave this workshop with a good
understanding of where they might go for business financing and what kinds of
financial assistance might be available to them.
December 6 WHAT DO
THEY WANT? MANAGING MILLENNIALS AND POST-MILLENNIALS. Chatham Community Center 8:30 – 10 am
These generations are quickly becoming the largest portion of the work
force, and present unique challenges for management. In this workshop, we will
discuss practices and procedures for managing younger employees effectively,
and what pitfalls you should try to avoid. Participants will leave the session
with practical tips to utilize in managing younger employees.
