Jean Stanley has a B.S. in Marketing from Fairfield University. After graduating, she spent 17 years on Wall Street as a Commodities Trader. She ultimately became Vice President of Investments with Morgan Stanley. In 1997, Jean left the wild trading world to follow her passion, becoming a full time certified yoga instructor and buyer for Yoga Zone of NYC. She did this until finally making the decision to leave city life entirely. At this point she moved to the quiet of Cape Cod to raise her only son surrounded by the stunning beauty of the National Seashore. When not spending millions of rehab dollars from the Mid to Outer Cape, she can be heard cheering on her favorite athletes; her son in hockey rinks and on baseball fields, as well as her “summer boys” from the Orleans Firebirds. Since 2009, Jean has served as a Host Mom to college baseball players through the Cape Cod Baseball League. She also organizes and supervises bat boys and girls, and recruits National Anthem singers.
Jean joined the CDP in 2014 as the Housing Rehab Program Manager. Through her work, she has helped to broaden the reach of the Housing Rehabilitation Program into multiple Lower Cape communities. She has also played a significant role in accessing grant funding year-after year. Jean currently handles the management of the Housing Rehabilitation Program, including marketing and outreach, application intake and approval, and loan closings. She works with homeowners, the Housing Rehab specialist and program contractors to ensure all projects are within budget and in compliance with funder guidelines. She oversees all phases of the project to assure on-time completion.
