Housing Programs

The CDP recognizes that a diverse and thriving community requires stable housing for people of all income levels. However, increased demand and skyrocketing home rental and purchase prices have resulted in an affordable housing crisis on the Lower Cape. The CDP has actively responded to this crisis with several programs aimed at increasing the number of attractive, quality affordable housing units available for low to moderate income families from Harwich to Provincetown. Through a combination of housing development projects, housing rehabilitation efforts, property management, and educational opportunities for home owners and renters, the CDP is making great strides in providing more people on the Lower Cape with a decent and safe place to live, regardless of their income level.
